Today we’ll learn how to draw a leopard pattern yourself,
Then how to mold it in plasticine, and cut it out of wood.
First, we draw the size of our wooden block (from which we will later cut out a leopard). Any animal can be roughly divided into components:
Such as circles, squares, rectangles, ellipses.
We can represent the leopard as 3 circles: the head, the shoulder girdle, and the pelvic girdle.
We draw the smallest circle - the head, then a slightly larger circle - the shoulder girdle.
And then the biggest circle - the pelvic girdle.
Now draw the contours of the leopard's legs.
Then we connect the circles and draw the leopard's neck.
As you can see, we have drawn the approximate contour of the leopard.
Next, connect the contours. Do not be afraid of making a mistake, because you can use an eraser☺
We made a general outline.
Now let's draw the details.
Now we draw the pelvic part.
We see where we put the outline, and where we change it.
Now let's draw the leopard's face.
If you do not understand how to draw any element - you can look at examples of pictures on the Internet.
Draw smoother contour lines.
We have made a drawing on paper.
Now let's try making a leopard out of plasticine.
We take the plasticine and try to repeat what we did on the paper.
We use regular plasticine. You can use a stick to make it easier to shape the plasticine.
So now we have a leopard out of plasticine which will make our carving out of wood even easier.
We’re going to publish a video on leopard carving out of wood soon. Stay tuned!
